The Bishop Feehan Shamrocks came back from a 16 point deficit in the second half of the Taunton Summer League Championship game to defeat Taunton 52-51.
Down 1 with 12 seconds remaining in the game, the Shamrocks put Taunton's Senior Guard, Shaq Davis, on the line. After Davis missed 2 free throws, Feehan's Senior PG, Austin Burlone, took the ball down the floor and made a runner in the lane with 2 seconds remaining on the clock giving Feehan a one point advantage. Gerald Cortijo, a Senior Guard, threw up a full court desperation shot for Taunton that rounded the rim but fell short sealing the victory for Bishop Feehan.
The Shamrocks were led by Burlone with 20 points shooting 8-14 from the field and 4-6 from the FT line. Sophomore Nick Botelho stepped up for the Shamrocks in the victory scoring 11 points and grabbing 8 rebounds.
